A good good day...one of my student's ventures gets acquired!
It has been announced via Twitter and a few tech outlets that Plixi (formerly known as TweetPhoto) has been acquired by Lockerz, an upstart community rewards site targeting 13-30 year olds. With more than 17 million users in the first year, Lockerz looks to be adding to its coffers the millions of eyeballs garnered by Plixi traffic.
While the exact details are not yet known, I can say that I am incredibly proud of Sean Callahan who is both a former student of mine and the cofounder of Plixi. What a fantastic day this must be for him and his cofounder, Rodney Rumford.
