One year down, 74 Entrepreneurship Students
I'm using this blog post to toot our horn a bit at California State University San Marcos. In just over a year ago, our university welcomed its first formal batch of Entrepreneurship students by creating an Entrepreneurship Track within the Management and the Global Business Management majors. In the span of the past year, the word must have gotten out about our program and the coursework. As of the latest university census data, our fledgling Entrepreneurship Track has attracted 74 students! It's hard to believe that we've enjoyed this fast of an ascent.
The Entrepreneurship Steering Group has been instrumental in guiding and developing this new track. This faculty group includes (in alphabetical order) Ben Cherry (that's me), Camille Schuster, Gary Oddou, Jim Hamerly, Kathleen Watson, Klaus Schryen. It's a privilege to work with this dedicated group of faculty on the development of new and innovative curricula.
It's also likely that our entrepreneurially-minded students running our Entrepreneurship Society are making an impact on this unprecedented growth. Good job to you all who are involved in this busting-at-the-seams campus club. Keep up the impactful work!
Great things are going on at Cal State San Marcos in the College of Business. Come on over and jump in the Entrepreneurship Track...the water's nice.
